Guaranteed Scholarships Definition: Guaranteed Scholarships are those which are unlimited in number and normally require no interview, audition or essay and in most cases there are no other secondary requirements. As long as you meet the criteria listed and adhere to the application deadlines set by the individual schools you should receive your scholarship award. Remember most guaranteed scholarships are based on a student’s GPA, or ACT/SAT scores. Also included are a number of scholarships and grants for children of alumni, religious and other affiliations, and many other guaranteed scholarships!

Presidential Scholarships: $4,000 - $10,000 awarded to first-year students with 3.4 GPA and 1000 SAT. Also awarded to transfer students with 3.3 GPA and minimum of two full-time semesters.
Academic Achievement Scholarships: $3,500 awarded to first-year students with 3.0 GPA and SAT. Also awarded to transfer students with 3.0 GPA and minimum of two full time semesters.
Ferrum College Tuition Assistance Grant: $2,500 to out-of-state (outside of Virginia) residents with at least a 3.0 GPA.
Franklin County Grant: $2,000 to graduates of Franklin County High School or Franklin County Virginia residents for one year before first attending Ferrum College.
