Primary Education / Elementary Education

Primary education describes the first years of formally structured or compulsory which covers grades 1 thru 6 or 8, depending on the school system in your area. In western societies, primary education is generally preceded by nursery or preschool and followed by secondary education.

Secondary Education

This is the final or secondary stage of compulsory education, and children usually transfer to secondary (called high school in the U.S.) between the ages of 11 to 14 and finish between the ages 16 to 18.

Higher education refers to institutions offering degrees to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as vocational and training programs.
